Practice with the Twins Tonight 5:30 at Rogers  (from WLLB website)
by posted 09/19/2019

Hi Parents,

The Twins coached by Rich Alswanger and Frank Rossetti are holding a practice today at Roger's from 5:30 to twilight.  They have invited the boys from our team to join them.  If your son can make it feel free to stop over.  I have coached with Rich and he is a really good coach.

Sorry for the late notice.

All Games Saturday at 4 pm  (from WLLB website)
by posted 09/10/2019

Hi Parents,

Thank you for the quick responses.  As there are conflicts with a 1:30 start for boys on multiple teams we will NOT be changing the schedule.  All games are Saturday at 4 pm.

I am still waiting for feedback on the league wide practice.  I will follow up when I have more information.

Thanks,

Steve

Potential Change in Game Times - Feedback Requested  (from WLLB website)
by posted 09/10/2019

Hi Parents,

The commissioner is wondering if anyone has conflicts if all games are moved from 4 pm to 1:30.  This is to avoid conflicts with Rec Soccer.  Rec Soccer and baseball both start at 4 pm.  Unfortunately, Rec Soccer changed their start time after the baseball registration launched.  Please let me know your thoughts on moving all games to 1:30.

Thanks,

Steve

Cardinals Weekly Practice  (from WLLB website)
by posted 09/09/2019

Hi Parents,

The coaches across the league are trying to put together a weekly league practice.  The practices will be at the Town Farm Fields (Where we play our games).  One option is Mondays 5 to 6:30 and the other option is Sundays 2 to 3:30.  Depending upon the number of players committing to practice as well as the availability of the coaches will determine which option we select.  If we have enough interest in both options we will try and offer both.  Please note there is NOT a practice tonight.

We understand with all the different commitments your son might not be able to attend either session.  Please let me know your son’s commitment so I can respond to the league.

Thanks,

Steve

Cardinals Week 1 Recap  (from WLLB website)
by posted 09/07/2019

Hi Parents,

It was good to see the boys continue to fight to the end today.  We started slow however the boys came on strong in the last inning!  The coaches are still trying to get a field for a league wide practice.  I will let you know when I have more information.

Dan, Gama, and I spoke to the boys about our team rules:

  1. Have fun (This is the most important rule)
  2. Be safe
  3. Show good sportsmanship
  4. If a player leaves something that the coaches pick up we will return the item however the players owes their parents 2 extra chores at home

The boys did well with the first three team rules however we fell short on the 4th rule.  I have 2 water bottles. One belongs to Rhodes however I am not sure who owns the second water bottle.   The second is a white Overtime Athletics water bottle.  Please let me know if they belongs to your son.

Dan, Gama, and I enjoyed working with the boys today. We are looking forward to the rest of the season!
